
The suspension will include a complete prohibition from all football activities until the matter is resolved, according to a release from the Oregon football program.
Oregon coach Chip Kelly was not available for further comment.
Eugene police director of public information Melinda Kletzok said a motorcycle officer pulled Harris over at 2:06 p.m. after he made a left turn in the convertible Mustang he was driving from Hilyard Street to travel west on East Broadway because the officer noticed the All-American cornerback was not wearing a seatbelt.
During the traffic stop, the officer learned that Harris was driving with a suspended and without insurance. The car, which Kletzok said belongs to a family member, was impounded.
The base fine for driving without a seat belt is $115. Operating a vehicle with a suspended license carries a base fine of $575. The base fine for driving as an uninsured motorist is $262.
